New Update on Apple's life

I know I have recently been absent from blogging, and Apple has been pretty mad at me about it because she wants to keep in touch with her furry blogging friends! So here I am trying to make it up to her:

first I want to tell everyone that I have a new boyfriend! yay!! I dont know if anyone remembers my blog about the training class with 5 dachshunds in it... but after hanging out at the dog park with Gus and his dad Nick, we kept going out on dates and seeing each other :3 which has now progressed into a really awesome relationship!! woohoo. So in a way, Apple has gained a new brother of some sort, Gus! (the 2 year old, long hair black and tan) Apple and Gus get along really well, as I am blogging this they are currently sleeping together under the covers in bed, hehe. It's been fun watching them together because the personalities of the long hair dachshund and the smooth hair dachshund are so different. From what I've noticed (not just with Gus but other long hair dachshunds as well) is that they seem to be more "chill" at times, yes they get crazy too but they like to have their down time as well. Some of them will let you hold them however you'd like, Apple just squirms around. I guess the best way to describe how I feel about long hairs are like noodles, haha. The smooth hair dachshunds seem to always be in crazy hyper mode unless it's bed time or feeding time. But regaurdless I still love them all!!! It's pretty awesome having a boyfriend that has the same love for dacshunds as I do! Now I don't feel all obsessive :3 It's also fun because that means more dachshunds are in my life!! Nick is a really nice guy, I will post up some pictures of him and Gus later on.

Also, the pictures you have seen of the new dachshund puppies, yes they are very very cute. My friend Samantha (Henry, Oliver, and Otis's mom) bought Bailey, the long hair red. And Christine from the training class that I taught with 5 dachshunds is going to buy Roary and I will go with her on the 30th of this month (March) to go pick her up. Carolyn offered me to take Satchamoe home for free because she know's that I would provide a great home to him, but I wanted to think on it because puppies are a lot of work, and speaking of work, I have been working a lot!! so I knew that I would have to decline her offer, which is sad because I would LOVE to have another puppy. But before I refused I went home and talked to my roommate and reassured him that I wouldn't be taking Satchamoe in, but Ethan (roommate) then said that he wanted him, and that he had the time to take care of a puppy!! So I called Carolyn and told her that I would love to take Satchamoe. Later that night we picked him up and we've had him for about 5 days now I wanna say, he is soooooooooooo cute!! I will take lots of pictures of him too so you all can watch him grow up!! What is really cool is that his tan points are Brindled!! Sadly Ethan doesn't like the name Satchamoe so he is trying to think of a new one, so I've been calling him "little man"

Apple recently turned 1 year old on March 1st!! Nick and I brought Gus and Apple to petsmart and let her pick out a toy. She chose the fleece giraffe and tore out his cotton innards in about 5 minutes once we got back home!! For a while he was just a skin being tugged over between Apple and Gus, and then 2 weeks later I noticed that Apple had something in her mouth (she wasn't choking on it) and she dropped it when she saw me looking down at her and all I could do was laugh, it was the giraffe's head!! she decapitated him! I think I laughed for at least 5 minutes, tears came out a little and my side cramped. It was really funny to me. After my laugh attack, I picked up the remains of the giraffe and threw it away. so now he is gone forever!! sadly.

oh back onto the topic of work: I've only had 1 day off of work for the past month which means I have had little time at home to play with Simon and Dolly, and work on their socialization and mental trauma. I decided that it was for the best to give them up to furbaby-rescue so they could be with someone that had all the time in the world to give to them. It was really hard to do, but they can't come with me to work, and I didn't like knowing that I had little time to work with them so I found a lady who was more than happy to take them in. They promised that they would tell their new pet parents (when adopted) about their sister Apple and that her mommy works at petsmart, so we can keep the family in touch, and have puppy play dates.

so I am working on getting better about blogging again, and hopefully I will be as dedicated as I was before but I cant make promises because I am pretty busy at this moment in time, but I will try to blog at least once a week!!

I have been really bad about blogging lately. A lot of things have been going on in my life, so now that it's all sorted I should be blogging actively again :D Apple misses everyone!!!

On friday ( March 13th ) Samantha and I took some friends ( Nick, Christine, and Sebastian ) with us over to visit Carolyn again and see the puppies. They have grown SOOO much, it was hard to believe. Roary is still the biggest pup in the litter ( the brindle ) but Bailey is now the smallest (The red) and Satchamoe is now the middle sized pup ( black and tan ). They have quite the personality, Bailey seemed to be the one that had the most spunk, like a little firecracker. She was quite the talker too. Roary had fun trying to escape, and I just couldn't let Satchamoe go! I was offered to take him in for free, because Carolyn know's me well, but I just dont see myself being able to commit myself fully to such a young puppy. But I am happy to say that Samantha will be taking Bailey home to join her other three dachshunds: [Henry, Oliver, and Otis] on March 22nd. Also Christine and Sebastian will be taking Roary home on March 30th! I cant wait to see them all grow up, it's too cute!!

Missy's Dachshund Puppies!!

Sorry everyone that I haven't been on in a few days!! I feel really bad, not to mention I had a few withdraws too!! Today my friend Sam and I went over to Carolyn's house (she owns fudgie) to see Missy her long hair, red, dachshund, who gave birth to three dachshund pups three and a half weeks ago. Carolyn says that the daddy is actually the Brindle, Fudgie! Missy has 1 boy, and 2 girls, one of them even came out brindled like her daddy :3 They were soooooo adoreable!! We actually ended up naming all three of the puppies too. The boy, who is mainly all black we named Satchamoe, The brindled female, we named Roary because she was extremely vocal, and the last female who was a red, we named Bailey. They were so sweet. Sleeping in our arms. I even had the .... delightful..... experience of mommy Missy encouraging Roary to pee while sitting in my lap!.... it was great! about a quarter size of pee got on my jeans, but I LOVE the puppies so much that I didnt mind :3 I believe Sam is planing on actually buying one of the puppies, which would bring her up to a total of 4 dachshunds, but really 2 belong to her mother, and she really only has one to herself. Missy is actually the mother of Sams long hair, red dachshund Oliver! so it was really special to see her new puppies, especially when they were so young. Sam and I will be visiting Carolyn again when the puppies are 5 weeks old to take more pictures, and also to see how dramatic of a change the puppies have made in their looks, personality, and mobilaty (is that a word??? haha wow thats bad) but anways, enjoy the pictures!!

Dog park fun with Gus and Bailey

Yesterday I took Apple, Dolly, Simon and Bailey (The puppy I was watching for the day) to the dog park where I met up with Gus and his Dad Nick. They all had a lot of fun chasing each other in the grass. You might recognize Gus from photo of mine already, but if you dont, he is in the picture that I took of my 6pm class where there are 5 dachshunds in it. Anyways, Nick and I made plans to get together and hang out at the dog park with our dogs. Gus had so much energy!! He was running all over the place, he would literally zip from one end to another. The rest of the crew were almost left a little confused because they (Dolly and Simon) couldn't keep up with him. Apple on the other hand was in her own world. Sniffing around everywhere. Bailey really liked Gus... maybe a little too much... but none the less, Bailey was a very cute pup :3
Today at work, Apple was brought in to have her Model photo shoot. She had her nails painted and photos taken to be used in flyers for their nail painting service. Currently her front left paw has a rainbow (each nail is a different color) so customers can see the variety of colors we offer, her front right paw has no polish, and both her back feet have purple paint. In a couple days they are going to make sure that all her nails are purple :3 This nail painting thing is not going to be a regular thing, it was only done for the model shoot. But I wont pass up a free paw-dicure. hehe :3 I will take pictures of her nails when they are all purple, but I will be sure to post up the flyer when I get a copy of one too!

Family Photo

So Mona and the Mommy has asked for a photo with all of the pup's in the same shot, all looking at the camera, so this is just for you Mona!! I tried many attempts to take some good photos, but it was hard trying to get them all to focus at the same time. It felt like every time I was snapping the photo, one pup would get distracted by the other! You'll only see five pictures that I took, but I took about 20!

Also The OP Pack has asked how I write on my photos. After I upload my photos onto my computer or laptop, I will hit the Print Screen button, and then open Paint, and paste the photo, and draw on the picture however I'd like and then when I save the picture, I make sure I save the photo as a JPEG. One of these days [[when I can afford it]] I plan on buying a cordless tablet with a pen and mouse, because it's really hard to write nicely with a mouse on paint!! My little doodles on the pictures will be more creative as well.

Tomorrow I'm puppy sitting a cockapoo named Bailey!! so I will make sure I take pictures of all of our fun :3

Who's at the door!?

last night we helped our friend Jarvis move in ( he actually lives in the same condo as we do! Same floor and only 2 doors away! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!? ) So while Jarvis was finishing up his move, I helped watch Butters! Apple was happy to see him again, but her brother and sister (Dolly and Simon) were a little overly excited. They thought his fluffy tail was a toy! So unfortunately I separated them for a bit so everyone could calm down. So sorry to everyone that we did not blog last night!!

last night while hanging out in Ethans room, all of the toys we own were brought into the room by Apple. This toy frenzy also created a hyper atmosphere and they all went crazy and ran around the room, rolling around the bed, and tugging at each others toy. They had so much fun playing together and then they crashed in their bed on the office :3 it was a happy day.

[[Last night the laptop I was using wasn't working all that well so I am using a different one tonight to finish showing off our photos from yesterdays play date!]] Simon was really interested in the kitty cats. They live with 3 puppies so they are very used to dogs, when Simon attempted to chase after them they didn't care, they just walked. Simon seemed to have the guts to chase after them, but if the cat turned to look at him, Simon ran away from it like he was the one being chased! He's a dork. Dolly seemed to have a special spark in Olivers eye because he was really into playing with her. As usual, Apple was more into toys than playing with they others. She had a few moments where she would play, but it was mainly the toys that had her attention. Sam is a good friend of ours that I met while working at Petsmart. When I first met her and her mother, Betsy, she only had one dachshund (Henry). Slowly she obtained two more (Oliver and then Otis) :3 when the weather gets nicer, do expect to see more pictures of all 6 of our pups!!

Today Apple, Dolly, Simon and I all went over to our friend Samantha's. She owns 3 dachshunds herself: Henry, Oliver, and Otis. When we arrived Henry and Oliver were still on their walk with Sam's dad so Otis entertained the bunch and ran around the yard. Simon was more interested in the kitty cats that they have while Apple investigated the yard a bit. As soon as Henry and Oliver arrived on the scene, it was puppy chaos!!! They all ran in circles, jumped on each other and chased each other :3 I'll post up more photos on my next blog, my laptop isn't working that well tonight.

Reunited

Today was quite a day!! I picked up Dolly and Simon at around noonish, and bought them new leashes and a harness for each of them, at petsmart (oh and food bowls cant forget that). They were scared of the automatic doors so I had to put them in a cart to get them inside. I met up with my friend Sam while I was there and she too is a owner of 3 Dachshunds. After we shopped we made plans to get all 6 of them together for a play date tomorrow so I'll definately take photos of that!! I brought them home and put diapers on them because I dont know how they would react potty training wise in a new home. I have them on a strict potty schedule where they go outside to potty every 1.5 hours (unless they are sleeping, but as soon as they wake up I take them out) Simon and Apple are usually the first ones to go pee, and Dolly likes to dilly dally and take her time... hopefully she wont take up to 10 minutes to go pee anymore. But they seem to pee everytime I take them out, so I'm glad my schedule is strict because I really dont want any accidents in the house. I know there are bound to be some! But if I can prevent it from happening I will try my best. They all get along really well, they only had one spat, right when I brought Dolly and Simon home, but after sniffing each other they started to play, it was really fun to watch. Simon and Dolly are a little heavy (well fed ;D) so like Apple, they have porportioned feedings now and two walks a day to help get them to a toned shape. Dolly weighs the most at 11lb's. Simon is 10.8lb's (not much of a difference) and Apple weighs 9.5lb's. I guess I will blog some more about them all tomorrow!!

I'm sure you're all aware of the adoption that didn't work out. I was pretty sad about it, but I knew that the dachshund was still going to a good home where he would be loved and cared for as we would show it to him. So I went on with my life as usual, working at petsmart. I was approached by a friend who's dog I trained (Sherlock Hound) and she happens to own Apple's brother Simon-Peter and her sister Dolly-Anna. She had obviously been upset and crying because her eyes were red and swollen, I had asked her what was wrong and gave her hug, and to sum it all up, she basically asked me to take in Simon and Dolly. I asked myself, was is fate that I didn't get the other dog? I told my friend that I would take them in, and that she could have them back at any time. So Apple is getting her actual (litter mates) brother and sister to come live with her... I will be sure to take pictures of them together after I pick them up tomorrow afternoon. Maybe make another blog I dont know yet... but I am very excited.

unfortunately the dog we applied to adopt had an application on it before us, so we were not able to adopt the dachshund. When the right opportunity strikes again we will hopefully be the first one to submit an application. Until then we will continue our happy lives as a little but great family! I just wanted to share a photo I took of one of the classes I teach on Monday nights at 6. I brought Apple to demo that night, it was a lot of fun watching all of the dogs interact with each other, and especially cute that most of the class were dachshunds!! Lately Apple has been getting lonely. She seems to really enjoy coming to work with me to see all the other dogs, and when we get home later that night, she'll mope around the house. There are also times when she really really wants to play, but we're all too busy to play with her at that moment. My roommate Ethan has brought up the fact that he would like to get a puppy, so we started looking around for some dogs for adoption. I found one from WA that is not too far away, that we'll meet on sunday... we're so excited!! If this works out then Apple will possibly have a brother!!! yay

Pee time with friends

Tonight my roommate Ethan had his girlfriend, Nancy, over at our house. I asked her if she wanted to join me and Apple for a walk, and she said yes :3 While we went out for a walk I decided to take my camera along with me, and take pictures. It has been really foggy out here for the past few days, so you'll notice it in the pictures. Along the walk we ran into Molly (the italian Grey Hound) and we stopped and said hi. They played for a bit, Molly out ran Apple, and then they squatted for a pee together, it was cute! so I took a photo haha. We then decided to go into the building and walk inside because it was so cold, and there we ran into Molly again! and played again!! yay what a night. I also wanted to introduce everyone to Apple's other Roomies, my birds. I have five of them, I know in a few of her videos you could hear them so I wanted them to feel the love and be seen!!

Brad had his friend Jesse over tonight, and decided that they were going to play video games. While they took a break, Jesse started to snack on some jerky!! Apple of course heard the bag open, and immeadiately dashed over to jesse in hopes of getting a treat. Usually when this happens to me I dont just "hand over" a treat to Apple, I ask her to sit, lie down, leave it, roll over (not in the same order every time to avoid patterns and her knowing each step) so then she earns her treat, rather than getting one handed over to her. I dont want her to think that she can just have a treat whenever. I want her to know that she has to earn all of her treats. So Jesse decided that he wanted to tease her... wrong idea!! Apple has quite the spring in her leg, and I work very very hard to keep her from jumping, so dont worry, I gave Jesse an earful after I saw that. But after teasing her for a minute, he asked her to sit, and he gave her a jerky piece.

Cottage cheese me!

Tonight Apple recieved the last of the cottage cheese!! it is a happy day for her, she loves cheese. She'll be in a deep sleep and I'll open a box of cheese-its and she is in my face within seconds. She was really enjoying the cottage cheese remainder, until daddy decided to come around and toss the container around like a soccer ball!! But she would carry the container around in her mouth, it was real cute!

Tonight Apple had a friend over!! We just love our puppy play dates. Apple enjoyed having him over, but she wished that he was more into playing than he was trying to run away from her! They both had fun sniffing around the house and investigating Apples bed. Butters isnt around dogs too often so when he see's Apple come charging in his direction his instinct is to run away and hide!!! She might be too wild and hyper for this little guy. But when she wasn't paying attention to him and had her back at him, then he would try and sniff her. All in all, it was a good time.

Last night while eating dinner with brad, I overheard a group of peoples conversation the entire time I was there. I was trying not to listen to it because it's not like me to try and listen on other peoples conversations, but I was also eating with Brad and I didnt want him to feel like I was ignoring him. But I overheard someone say miniature dachshund, thats when my attention was fully focused on them. They were saying that min. Dachshunds were only bred to be pretty and that they had no real reason to even be created, non other than to be a lap dog. A Foo foo dog. I was growing ferious. I wanted to grab my hot soup and throw it on them!!! They then went on to say that all they (Dachshunds) do is yap yap yap and break their backs. They then switched their convo over from hating on the dachshunds, to how they LOVE their big dogs. Because they arent yappy, they arent lap dogs, and they aren't Foo foo. I was so angry. I dont even think I could describe how angry I was to be hearing all of these people agreeing with each other.... But they are all lucky that I held my composure for Brads sake, and didnt throw my food on them.

Apple you are the greatest dog I have ever had in my entire life!! You have never bitten anyone, you dont bark, and you LOVE to hunt! You are no foo foo lap dog!!! You are my little badger hunter. If only those people saw how you hunt down your bugs!! if only...

Apple watches tv

Tonight while taking a break from Folding clothes, I decided that I wanted to watch tv. My favorite show was on (It's me or the dog) and the bigger bonus was that it was a new episode. Sunshine shouldn't fade away

Today while I cleaned the house and the car, Apple ran around and played with her toys. I got a little hot from my constant moving, and opened the windows in our living room. Apple noticed that there were some sunshine poking through and decided that she was going to soak it all in because it might be the only sunshine we get in a month. For the past few days it has been really foggy and gray outside, so the little bit of sunshine was a nice change.

Apples Burger King© Run!

Tonight my roommate, Ethan, and I decided that we were too lazy to make dinner ourselves and that we wanted food right at that moment, so we chose to go to Burger King©. Apple has this mindset that where-ever she goes with us, that has a drive up window, will be giving her a cookie, but of course they should!! So she waited and waited, and watched as not one, but two bags of food passed by her, and no cookie came her way!! So when I got home I gave her a cheesey-bacon biscuit, she was thrilled, and enjoyed every crumb!

I would never call you a hippo apple!! Anyways, tonight I made a special dinner for her. She is currently on the transition from puppy food to adult, so she eats both mixed, and she already gets salmon oil in her food every night, but I wanted her to really enjoy her meal tonight so I added a little bit of the wet nutro puppy food to her dry, stirred it up, and warmed it in the microwave for 15 seconds, so the food smell would just fill her nose with the best senses :3 She enjoyed it very much, but got a little full. She'll eat the rest later after her nap.

Apple came to work with me today to help demo other pup's taking classes, and to her surprise, she even had a bath scheduled!! She wasnt too happy about it, But she endured it! Tonight Apple is just TIRED. Napping every chance she had when a blanket is present, whether it was on your lap, in the clean laundry, or on her own bed. She claimed it.

Last night while reading my comments I was pleased to hear feedback about Apples daily life, One comment in particular caught my attention (in a good way :3), it was from: Roxie, Sammy and Andy. They mentioned "By the way, how is your mom doing on training you?" well I guess the only way I can respond is, great! thanks for asking :D As I mention in my about me section, I am a dog obedience trainer at Bellingham WA, Petsmart. Apple gets to come with me to work and Demo to other pet parents what their dogs will be learning in puppy/beginner/intermediate/Advanced education levels. I am very lucky because Mat (the other trainer) and myself, are the only two associates at petsmart that can bring their dogs to work! It is strictly for work purpose, not play. But she is definitely spoiled while she is there! Everyone showers her with hugs and kisses, rubs her belly, and better yet, gives her treats!!! As soon as we pull into the parking lot at work she knows where she is. Her favorite spot it the training ring (She knows that that's where all the good treats come from!) While working today someone asked me "How many dogs do you teach in a week?" I counted and told him, 25 dogs this week :3. So to conclude, Apple is doing pawsome with her training on both her verbal cues and hand signals, Of course, we are not always %100 on top of our game, I am still working with a puppy, haha. But she does very good, we are still working on her new obedience skills currently. Until next time, Goodnight!

just chewin'

Apple only has hard rubber or plastic chewing toys to play with, because the Skins and the fuzzies just didn't do the job! The only downside to the hard toys that I seem to notice is that stepping on the little bits and granules that Apple chewed off while walking around the house. Some are easier to see than others because they're blue, orange or yellow, but she has a clear rubber/ plasticy fish by nylabone that she loves to carry around the house to chew. But their pieces are hard to see as you're walking by!! So I have to vacuum every other day to maintain a soft floor to walk on!

Boring Day!

So today was a boring day. I worked 9 hours, and Apple stayed home with Daddy. When I came home I invited a friend over to stay the night, and Apple was happy because she loves having Kim around to play and cuddle with! She then decided that it was time for Kim to play Chase, so they ran a few laps around the kitchen :3

Today Apple was bored so I gave her a kong toy to play with and I sweetened up the deal by putting some peanut butter! She has been carrying the kong with her all day long, she is so obsessed!! I usually like to use the kong with peanut butter only when I leave for work so she is distracted but with all the rain outside I figured that she should have something fun to play with since we are lacking the outside fun!!

Nap Time

Today Apple decided to take a nap on brad (daddy) and I realized that she could have been napping on her bed, but I then remembered that it was gone! So while I was at working tonight (fyi: I work at petsmart) we were putting the 75% off stickers on the holiday items, when my boss handed me a box of beds she instructed me to scan the skew and print out the new prices. The original price was $24.99, when scanned for the new price it was $6.74! I decided that since Apple destroyed one of her beds a week ago that she would deserve another one. At the end of my shift I brought a bed to the register and with my small employee discount (15%) it came out to cost me $5.75 after tax! So awesome!!! With no surprise, Apple loved it!! It came with a matching blanket and squeaky toy which was destroyed within the first ten minutes that she had it and is now a skin... Besides that I was looking on the petsmart website and came accross a cute picture of dog pj's! I told Apple we'll have to buy her a pair, but we'll use it as thermal wear for outside walks to keep her warm (and wearing a jacket too!) I think she's excited!! (at least I am?...)

Apple made a new bed!!

Apple loves to lay down on clothes that are laying around the house and blankets as well. We had placed our tree skirt on the table when we removed the decorations off our tree for the boy scouts to pick up, to keep it out of our way. Apple saw it and decided that it was a PERFECT place to lay down as I was talking to my friend Nancy!

so today is my (Chelsea) birthday!! I am now 20 years old... it feels weird... I dont think I have quite come to terms with it... I just wanted to share the news with everyone! If Brad has special plans for me tonight I will take pictures for sure :3 Until then I will write some more later.

It snowed today!? I swear it did, it was there when I was on my way to work at 10 am and then when I left work at 6 it's gone! weird... Apple spent most of the day with Brad hanging out at home and playing with toys. Last night our Comcast internet and cable tv had an unexpected powerloss so we were left without blogging and watching tv for 3 hours!!!!!!! So we played fetch :3 Apple really enjoyed it

Sorry its been a few days!! Happy Belated New Year! I've been a little busy with work. Today I realized that my 20th Birthday [january 6th] is only days away!! I am planning on having a party with some friends to celebrate. Anyways, Apple hung out mostly with daddy today at his parents house and played with Osito [Her Uncle, a pomeranian] She also recieved some new toys of course with no fluff! When we got home she just ran around the house acting like the cute little puppy she is ^-^. Once again after playing like a maniac she has now crashed and is sleeping on my lap.

I worked at 6 am today, and thats pretty early to me! Apple being the little diva she is, will go outside when we wake up and pee, and as soon as we come back inside she'll run back into bed and dive under the covers!! She will sleep all day with you! She once sleep for a total of 19 hours. So last night I had 4 hours of sleep, and here I am still awake at 10:30, without any naps and Apple has been sleeping more than half of the day! Currently she is sleeping on my lap and twitching a bit, haha. She is quite the sleeper. But I can saw that she is the best bed buddy ever! She beats any teddy bear that I've ever had <3

Snow has melted

In the past few days the snow has definately stopped, and the rain has started to drip again. I decided to take Apple out for a walk around the community and she was actually a little interessted in the little remainder of snow that we had in random spots. Plus she was a little distracted by children running around!! None the less, we still had fun poking around the grass.

Tonight we hung out at home and rested after the long Holiday weekend. I know that I am still very tired! While reading my book: "Stolen Innocence" Apple decided that scratching at my legs would be lots and lots of fun! So I put my book aside and picked up my camera to take some pictures and a video!! Christmas has passed!

So we had a lot of fun this christmas. We got a lot of really awesome gifts! I got a new digital camera as well!!! yay! Apple got a lot of toys too! so all of the skins went into the trash. Her favorite of the bunch was a set of plastic keys on a ring that she chews up and carries around everywhere. On Christmas day I made cupcakes to deliver to both my family and brads! Apple made sure that I didn't mess up. She was my little helper and she even dared to try the frosting!! We all hope that you guys had a wonderful Christmas and got to-from your locations safely!

Today was my only day off this week from work so I wrapped presents and also went to costco to buy groceries! Apple and I had lots of time to play together and nap together. Apple took lots of interest in her new bed and like always drug it out of her crate and brought it into the hallway. I decided to film her while playing with me and her bed so everyone can see her cuteness!

Today Apple and her uncle Osito (pom) went to Petsmart, to see me mommy, and Santa!! Osito was wearing a Santa shirt and apple was a reindeer!! yay! Brads mother scanned the photos for me since I forgot to bring my camera, so the picture is not the greatest quality (sorry!!) Also today at work, some students gave apple early Christmas presents.. Toys!!! Mommy got Christmas cards to save in our photo albums. As promised here is apple's video: Skins!

so today I bought apple one last squeaky toy ( it was only $2.00! I had to buy it) and just as always, She demolished it within mintues. While it lasted she loved it! Now it's a "skin", added to the collection. I also bought her this really pretty food mat last night, it's very girlie. Besides destroying all of her toys, she has been a very good girl this year. Tomorrow, I'm going to bring apple into work and get her picture taken with Santa! Yay!! I'll be sure to post up her photos it will be so cute!

Dachshund-palooza!

Lately I have noticed that all of Apples toys are now hollow. A toy with a squeaker will not last in this household. All of the toys that had squeakers have been de-fluffed and destroyed. What I find are what I call "skins" that she plays with now. I feel bad sometimes, because I know how much she enjoys these squeaking toys, but why buy something that is potentially going to be thrown away? So I have decided to buy Apple toys that are stuffing-free. No more stuffing allowed. We''ll buy her some more squeaky tennis balls and ropes to play with, she really likes those.

Pretty soon I have to start planning out my Dachshund get-together in Bellingham. Almost everybody I know at work (including customers and friends) want to bring their dachshunds together for a happy fun play time!! But I have to wait till the holiday season is over!!! Hopefully it will warm up soon too!!!

So lately apple has been quite the character lately. Since the snow has hit, my life has become a little boring. All the shops are closing early due to the weather, thus leaving me with nothing to do but go home or play in the snow. I've noticed that this has done the same to apple, and she has been acting differently around the house than she normally does. I caught her playing with a plunger in the bathroom. At first she was scared of it, but still highly interested in it. She would sniff and poke it with her nose and then back off like it ran at her, and then she would poke at it again. I then noticed that she tried to bite the handle and drag it around the floor!

I think apple would have me shovel snow rather than play in it. It's too bad that she doesn't like it. Tonight while working I spoke with a customer and his two dachshunds and he said that they hate the snow as well, so I was glad to know that I didn't have the only dachshund in the world that wants to stay indoors! I took some photos of apple in her new sweater, I hope she doesn't end up chewing off the scarf. It currently has been snowing all day! The news says it will continue to snow for the next few days because of a winter storm... ::sigh:: ... I wish apple liked snow.

Love at first sight

Today at 5:45 am I drove to my grandmothers house to meet up with her co-worker (and our friend) Carolyn. She and I discussed the night before about letting me puppy-sit Fudgie for a day, which she happily accepted! So I picked him up and placed his crate in my room and as soon as I opened the door he ran out and ran circles around my bed. Thus resulting in waking Apple up, she jumped down and they sniffed for a minute, and all of a sudden they were running together going crazy! They reacted as though they have known each other for years, and yet it was their first meet and greet "I'z has fun!". Later that day after a little nap they played and played even more, ate, and played again. It was really cute. Boy is Fudgie a handsome boy!! There was even a moment where they kissed. I guess I'll have to have puppy play dates with Fudgie more often!

So brad finally got a cord! yay!! I uploaded apples photos. Today Apple spent most of her day at home and my roomate Ethan let me know that she seemed a little upset with me not being with her, so she appearantly sat at doors and whined. She goes through these mood swings where she has to be with me, or she just wants to play with her toys. I think it's cute because it adds to her personality. As I mentioned earlier I took a few photos of Apples first experience in the snow!!! She is quite the diva. But I love her :D Tomorrow Apple's Boyfriend Fudgie will be coming over all day!

when they say stubborn, they mean stubborn. I saw seven dachshunds today at work (Petsmart) and spoke with the three pet parents, all three pet parents said that their doxies dont mind the snow, some even say that their doxies love it!! Apple hates the snow "dats right! itz to cold for meh feetiez!" I had even made sure that she would be warm by dressing her up in a sweater & a coat, and even snow resistant booties!!! She can be such a drama queen. haha. During the summer she loved going out in the grass and ran around like crazy!! I think she would do really well in the weiner races (more on that later). Sometimes she would even roll in stinky stuff "me luvz!". Since Apple wont pee outside (she refuses!!!) I caved in and bought her potty pads, and hoped that it wouldnt snow anymore... but when I saw the news tonight I was devestated when I saw that it may snow at least four more times in the next week!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. At least I'm prepared...

Apple and I are resting on the couch watching our favorite television show "It's me or the dog" Well... at least I am. Apple is sleeping! " I r sleepiez!" ::snore snore:: Anyways. I am hoping to add new blogs a few times a week, but please don't be mad if I fall short! I believe my boyfriend Brad has the camera right now so I cannot take a photo of Apple currently, but this is how she looks when she snoozes. Sometimes her feet twitch, or she'll grunt. She is too cute.
When she was 7 weeks old she would sleep in my armpit, lol how fun, but I had to wear a t-shirt because one morning she licked my arm pit and I was so disturbed!!! "YUM YUMMM" Well it's late and it's snowing!!! I will post pictures of Apple's first snow experience soon! boy oh boy was she in for a surprise!!
